I have had an amazing experience work with ATI over the last year, from Sally to Georgia to Trisha to Kyle and David, everyone has been great to work with. Our Agile community and specifically our Agile coaching community needs a tool now more than ever like Agility Health Radar. Teams don’t know what they don’t know, and they often believe they are more proficient than what they really are, but they also fail to recognize the agile principles and how to really live by ap#12, Continuous and Relentless improvement. With AgilityHealth, we can now provide teams insight to the amazing work they are doing but also a pathway to where they will continue to grow. What has really stuck with me as a customer is how willing ATI is to not just listen to our feedback, but quickly get into the product which not only will give us a better tool, but benefits so many other agilists out in the community who recognize the power of AgilityHealth when used correctly.

I partnered with our AgilityHealth champion to review open Organizational Growth Items with appropriate team members across the Portfolio, Program and Delivery team levels to successfully influence resolution and closure of five (5) organizational impediments. A majority of the resolved organizational impediments were related to increasing team stability as well as communication and gathering affected team input when team member changes were planned.
Measured business outcomes from the monthly business review have shown the capacity churn rate has dropped approximately in half from its high (20%) in February through August (the most recent measurement) while Feature time to market has also decreased by over 25% from January (15.8 weeks) through August (11.6 weeks).

"Let me start by saying that I have never worked with a more responsive support team. It doesn’t matter the priority of the request, when I submit a request or question I get a response typically within 10 minutes with the issue/request being resolved shortly after that. My team of Agility Health Facilitators share the same experience and rave about the outstanding customer service your team provides. We feel that our voice matters and that our recommendations that we offer for product improvements are considered and many times implemented very quickly.
As for value of the tool itself, we have begun using several different types of assessments offered by the tool to include the team health, program health and business agility transformation. All have been successful in their own manner. We have the most experience with the team health assessments and have seen the following:

  • Provides management another perspective on teams/team members (other than what they perceive or hear from others)
  • Anonymous results so teams are open and honest with their feedback (things come out of these assessments that are not brought up in other team retro’s)
  • Supports our performance review process and employee engagement results (additional metrics to support other Paychex metrics)
  • Radar results and comments from the assessments have raised awareness of team leadership issues which has prompted team changes and improvements

  • Program level value includes: improvements on consistent communication across all teams within a program, clarity on how teams are measured for success, communication on the value being delivered by the teams once the work is done and improved communication on roadmap and mid-term planning
  • The ability to roll up the team health assessment to all levels (program, portfolio and enterprise) is extremely powerful and allows the data to be shared and analyzed at all levels.

    Upcoming jira integration will provide us the complete 360 view all our teams health and help validate the soft metrics provided during the assessment.

    Since we are finding value with the team health assessments on the agile teams, we are now piloting the team health assessments on our functional teams within our Operations departments. These are proving to be very successful sessions because these teams are not having regular retrospectives and this provides a forum for the team to take a close look at themselves along with their stakeholders to determine what will help take them to the next level.
